Discussion:
Not much more than another cm of snow fell last night, but it was delightful to enjoy. The crisp cold temperatures will preserve it for a while.
We started out at -10 and ended at -5. I used my waxable track skis, with VR45 kick wax, which was excellent.
We skied from the Lake Louise end and skied past the arch to the Lake O'Hara end, and then returned.
Parks Canada's trail report still says that the Great Divide is not maintained west of the arch, but that is not true. The whole Great Divide is flat packed and skier tracked.
A very pleasant route.
Testing out the Asnes... Thanks Helen
Coming through under the Arch
The shelter has been beautifully rebuilt, but sadly some users have left their garbage... no respect!
A grand social occasion was had.
