This report is a little late but I don't think conditions have changed much. A little bit of new snow help with the grip on the firm trail. We skied into Elk Cabin last Wed coming out on Friday. We bypassed Elk pass by skiing through Elk Meadows making good use of MaSids 🛋. The road under the hydroline is plowed up so the safest way down was to walk. The trail out to Elk lakes is snowshoed and foot packed but there are ski trails on the lakes. We heard wolves at night and in the morning. On the way out we spotted tracks on the road. Great 3 days.

Don't know who made the mini couch. We really appreciated the large couch on the way in and out.

Was that your group who made the mini-couch?

P.s. looks like maybe the pole replacement work is complete now, on the B.C. side anyway. Not sure if the wood ones on the alberta side will also be getting replaced in the future. That’ll mess up the grooming quite a bit, or perhaps it will be confined to summer months.
