It's funny how some days I'm coordinated, and others, not so much. Today was one of the latter... Ended up taking a tumble on Moraine just before the drop down to the lookout. Moraine is well trackset, but there is a lot of debris, so there was a lot of corresponding catch and release (darned pine cones).

Happily, when I got to Whiskey Jack, I saw it had been groomed the night before (woohoo!), so I had nice pristine tracks to head up. While it too has debris, it's nowhere near as bad as Moraine.

The areas of Tyrwhitt where the trees are close to the trail also have a fair amount of debris, basically 'til you reach the meadow. Lookout looked to be in great shape, but there wouldn't have been much of a view today, so I decided to skip it.

Coming back by Elk Pass was great, but as I came whipping (well, my version of whipping) around one of the blind corners before the bridge, I saw three snowmobiles parked in the middle of the trail, and snow piles covering both sets of tracks as the guys were pulling snow off the slope to prevent future avalanches. The only way to stop in time was to fall. Again. Sigh...

Other than that, a great morning on the trails. A light skiff of snow at the upper elevations, but not enough to make much of a difference, other than to slow me down a bit.

Debris on Tyrwhitt - pretty typical for the tree-covered areas
