Discussion:

I've never skied at the Yoho trails and when I saw the fresh grooming report, I decided it was time to go. I parked at the Natural Bridge and first skied Tally-Ho, then headed up the Connector trail towards Emerald Lake. The parking lot at the lake was busy, but not too mamy people were actually out on the trails. I skied the Alluvial Fan loop (so beautiful!) then returned back down the Connector trail. I shed some layers at the car and then headed down the Kicking Horse trail. The snow in the most sun-exposed spots was starting to transform a bit on return, but mostly my V40 wax worked well for the day. Trail conditions were fantastic everywhere. Fast and firm, but not icy. No debris other than the occasional patch of Doug Fir cones on Connector. Just an all-around great day for a ski! -12 at 10:30 when I started, -2 at 2:30 but it felt much warmer than that in the sun.
