Updated Trail Report - Lake Louise Upper Trails

This from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Winter Trail Team:


With the second daytime high in a row of +4c at the lake things are starting to feel more and more like spring. Conditions are fast it in the early mornings but by 11am are starting to soften up and get sticky by late afternoon. We are going to try and trackset as long as we can, but if this keeps up making it to March 31 is unlikely.

Nordic Ski Trails:

Fairview Loop (#2): Double trackset, March. 15. Good condition.

Shoreline (#4): The ongoing drainage issue is no longer able to be fixed enough for the equipment to pass over it. We will most likely not be able to maintain this trail again this winter. Skier set, Poor condition.

Lake Trail (#4): Double trackset, March. 16. Good condition. Slush is starting to form from the warm weather melting snow and it pooling in patches on the lake.

Upper Telemark and Peyto Trails (#5&#7): Double trackset, March. 16. Good condition.
