Discussion:

As a follow-up to Dave's recent post, I completely agree: we should definitely thank all the groomers for a fantastic year. Life wouldn't be as exciting without the hard work of those folks!

In addition, I want to express my gratitude to all of the great contributors of this website: those who took the time to submit trip reports and comments. It makes our sport much more enjoyable when you know where to go for the best conditions, if you're taking on something outside of you ability, etc... To everyone who took the time to submit trip reports and fantastic pictures, THANKS!.

From a personal level, I really enjoyed this year. I was motivated to do more skiing than I would normally do & most importantly, I was able to meet a great many fine people.

I would be remiss if I didn't give special thanks to those that posted large numbers of reports this year (see the above chart). If I missed you on the chart, I do apologize.

Bob: Your smooth, magic words will forever keep skiers motivated

Chuck: I almost have no words for the time and effort you've put into this project. The quality and numbers of reports are amazing and the guidance you have given me is priceless.

Helen Read: You are a true motivator for everyone, particularity the ladies! Congrats on 1000 Km this year and keep that perpetual smile pointing upwards.

Mr. Democracy: My God, I wish I had the talent to do what you do. You're trips and reports are jaw dropping!

SteveR: Your reports and pictures are a work of art. Thanks.

Mike W: Your trip reports are absolute perfection. Thanks again for all your kind input to improve this website.

Thanks to everyone.

Have a great summer!

Roger

Many thanks Roger for your time and effort to keep Skier Bob legacy alive.

As you already apologized in advance, I am not mad at you for missing me on the chart with 29 reports ha ha

Anyway I hope to be able to meet in person next winter, please do make and wear a Skier Roger hat so that we can recognize you!

Oh rats!

My apologies Jean-Francois. I hope to automate that query so I may look less foolish in the future.😖

We all enjoyed the french twist you placed into your reports.

Thanks Roger, for all that you have done! While in a way- Nordic Pulse in particular has fulfilled the original purpose of Ski Here as Bob conceived it, nothing beats an actual boots on the ground ski report. And- the official reports only cover the groomed trails. What would winter be without MAAD's entertaining reports? And lets not forget our resident humorist- Mr. A. Toque. While mountain biking has begun to take over my priorities, I think you can expect a few more ski reports from myself and others. It ain't over yet!

I see I also missed gh - another integral piece of our ski community: The graph is now updated...

My favorite trip of his was on Feb 5th when he skied the ENTIRE Mount Shark network.

Wow!

Thanks for running this site Roger. It was good to get some winter conditions again last week at PLPP. I am hoping to get out on my bike now.

Yes, many thanks for your work Roger. Sharing information on a platform such as yours is so much more enjoyable and satisfying than facebook/instagram/twitter/yada/yada/yada...

A couple of my favourite old school forums met their demise in recent years for various reasons and then Bob hung up the blades voluntarily so it was good of you to come along and provide an outlet for skiers such as myself.

For my sake I wish you much continued success!
