Fantastic snow on Kananaskis Lookout. Started from the "back door in -10C. Surprised to find a snowmobile track and single classic track on Pocaterra Trail. The snowmobile track continued up the North side of Lookout and halfway down South side, then stopped. After that it was a trail breaking workout in up to almost 40cm fluffy snow. Snowmobile track emerged on Hydroline from the Patterson junction and continued to Elk Pass. We met two tracksetters with skidoos on Elk Pass putting up winter signs. Then trailbreaking again on Thyrwhitt until we hit the skidoo track at the first bridge after the Thyrwhitt highpoint. Ski season is here!
