I skied up to Burstall Pass today. Overall, things are in very good shape! Previous skiers had broken trail up to the top of the headwall, and I continued to the pass. There are a couple thin spots right below the pass, but mostly you can see the rocks poking through before you hit them. Boot-top snow below treeline, but above treeline there was a supportive layer 10-15cm below the surface. Coming back down was fast and fun!

Well done, and nice pictures! How was the headwall coming down? This is often problematic in the early season.

No issues on the headwall! Enough snow to cover rocks and branches, and enough to control the speed as well.
