Spurred on by Karl B's trip report from two days ago, we decided to ski the Great Divide Trail from the O'Hara end. It was sunny on the drive up to the BC border, but then we entered dense fog, and so started with that. As Karl mentioned, the first 200m of the track was thin with poles hitting the asphalt, but after that it was just fine. The trail is roller packed and with skier set tracks which were decent on the BC side of the Divide, and actually quite good on the Alberta side to Lake Louise. Sunny day after we got out of the fog. Quite a few people skiing, including a club with several youngsters. Skating lane is in good shape. -10C to start; -6C at the end. 20Km total.

Total distance: 20.00 Km
