Discussion:

I tried to post pictures last evening without success, so I'm trying again.

We skied up the Elk Pass trail to Blueberry Hill, then up to Elk Pass and returned via Patterson.

It was -12C when we started and -6C when we finished. The wind was constant during our whole trip and we never delayered along the way. It was pretty and scenic.

The first couple of kilometres are beautifully groomed but not track set. Then the track is near perfect on the other trails. Watch out for snow bombs. The run down from Blueberry Hill was fast but totally controllable.

I was able to ski down the last bit of the Elk Pass trail down to the parking lot quite fast. Once again, a skier can definitely control the speed.

I added two more kilometres skiing to Upper Lake. This trail is groomed with quite a few twigs sticking up in the snow.

Total distance: 19.00 Km
