Fresh snow at Boom Lake

Thanks to Chuck's trip report we checked out the Boom Lake trail. Gary tested out his $10 Madshus Tyin skis. Followed snow shoe and hiker tracks in 3cm fresh snow. Once we passed the walkers we enjoyed light trail breaking on the quiet trail. One small tree across, a few small creek crossings. The ice on the lake felt quite solid, but we didn't venture too far out. On our way down we met several groups of skiers on AT gear. Wonder where they were headed? Checking out the Kindergarten couloir? The new snow was deeper at the trailhead than at the lake.

Thanks for the factual ski report Ulrike.
Hope Gary didn't damage those $10 skis on any rocks hidden under all that fresh snow.
