Parked at the SE corner of the Nakiska lot and walked down the path to the Skogan Pass Trail, joining it right about the ice flow, which was frozen with a skiff of fresh snow. Used climbing skins on my Asne Lillehammer 3/4 metal edge skis. While a little slow, it beat frequent herringboning. And were a delight to have for the ski down! Did not see anyone until I started down and passed 4 people about 1.5 kms from the end. There must have been a moose party last night: lots of tracks on the trail near the gully off Mt. Collembola. Was glad not to run into one on the fast downhill. Trail below the ice flow looked very hard and beaten up by walkers. The rest of the grooming was still in great shape.
