Less keen skiers might have turned around shortly after leaving the Cascade parking lot. Treacherous and icy conditions continued on the first hill. To our surprise and delight, conditions improved mightily after the top and stayed very very good for the rest of the ski to the bridge. Coming back down the hill was even worse than going up, and made even more exciting by the numbers of folks coming up later in the day. We might give Cascade a miss until the next snowfall or definitely do it midweek….

Glad to see you made the best of the day Pinomarion!
I planned to go to Lake Louise this morning but the road conditions in Calgary were incredibly icy. Darn near killed myself walking the dogs.
