Discussion:

We hadn't skied Shark Mountain yet this season, so today was the day. It was flurrying lightly when we arrived, and warm, so we opted for fish scale and skin skis. The tracks were great, although blown in in a few open places. Ray was a bit slow on his skin skis, but I had no issues with my fish scales. We skied the Watridge Lake Road all the way to the Spray River. The skiff of fresh snow in the tracks made the big downhill to the river a delight. Of course, it is always a good workout getting back up! We skied back to the car and it was now snowing more heavily. After lunch, I applied glide wax to my fish scales, since the falling snow was getting stickier, and had no more problems. We skied the Orion Loop past the biathlon area, and a little more of this and that before calling it a day. Nice and quiet today, few people and dreamy snow. Zero degrees to start and zero at the end.

Total distance: 16.00 Km
