Discussion:

Despite the minimal grooming and weird weather forecast, I decided to give CNC a try. It was around plus 1 C when I started at 10:30, so I chose my skin skis as I figured it would be crunchy. I headed for Bow Trail and the first few sections were crunchy indeed, and not that inspiring. However, a significant snow squall moved in and quickly added a new layer to the surface, and all of a sudden the skiing was fantastic. Some downhills were a bit grabby in warm spots, but it was really pleasant overall. The return on Banff was in superb condition, as were the few kilometers I added on westbound Meadowview before returning by Coyote and Banff. Other than a few bare patches on that low sunny spot on Bow, there was plenty of snow. With the forecast this week, skiing should continue for a while longer. A mid morning start is advised in order to hit the transition from hard to soft.

Hey Mr. Camera Man,
How about a picture, even if you write so well!
