Thanks for sharing that wonderful piece of green paradise. Seeing a bit of Highwood country brought a smile to my heart.
I imagine though that your thoughts may be drifting in the direction of wonderful green wax -)

Not a new destination for a couch but perhaps Lineham Ridge or above Pocaterra Ridge? I never did well recognizing photos that Skierbob used to tease us with. Great to see that big claw print beside the little boot print.

Another month before dreaming of white meadows and green wax Henry. First, the yellows and oranges of fall, then the white can creep in and permeate the subconscious. Here’s hoping for another early upslope dump in Bragg for October!
Top secret location helen, not easily accessible from Snowfaland and dangerous in winter (and summer when bears present), but as the crow flies……
She’s a big girl, not to be confused with the youthful prints above.

With Spray Lakes Sawmill set to "harvest" (euphemism for clear-cut) the Upper Highwood (Loomis Creek and area), I have a few questions:
- Will there be be logging activity in winter? If so, does that mean that Highwood Pass will be open in winter? Will skiers have access, or will the road be open for logging traffic only?
- I've paid to have this area conserved. What the heck?
- Does the logging company have to pay for a conservation pass to enter the area?
