Skied Cascade Road today - it was trackset only on 1 side and some fluffy grooming for skate (it's soft! needs more slow passes with the roller).

Overall, beats not groomed hors piste experience and generally nice for both classic and skate. But not top notch like it could be, with all new recent snow.

Bankhead trail- no tracks, lots of fluff grooming that's very soft for skate.

The Cascade valley got a lot of new snow in last couple of days after all the rains and the temperature today was cold! Once the sun hid behind the trees - it felt like -10 to -12. We used Guruwax green and it was plenty of grip on the long big hill and for the entire loop to the bridge and back. It's still not groomed or packed past the 6km bridge.

Up the first hill with CL tracks only on 1 side and fluff skate grooming

Let's have a little more patience for the grooming. Yes, there was a snowfall the day before you went skiing, but the groomer can't be on every trail at once. Perhaps many people don't realize that it is only one person who grooms and tracksets the Cascade Valley, Bankhead, Spray East and West up to Goat Creek junction, Healy Creek and Redearth Creek trails. There is no "team." And grooming can't be completed until the trees have been removed, and there have been plenty of downed trees. There aren't enough days in the week to get it all done after a snowfall, even when he works on his days off, which he has done. So, please, be patient and appreciate the work that is getting done.
