Discussion:

We parked where the golf course entrance road intersects the Bill Milne trail. From there we headed south on Milne, past Mt. Kidd campground, and continued to intersect the Wedge Connector. We broke trail in a couple of cm of fresh snow on this section, with the underlying tracks being great. Snow fell constantly, and at -2C, we had problems with icing and clumping (some on wax, some on waxless, all with intermittent troubles). On reaching the connector, we first skied to Wedge Pond, and then reversed and headed down to Evan Thomas creek. Others had skied here before us, so the tracks were quite good, though still slow with the constant snowfall. Returning to the cars, we then drove to Kananaskis Village, and skied a loop including Terrace, Kovach, Aspen, and Kovach back to the Village. Even more fresh snow here, though many other skiers had prepared the trackset for us. By the time we finished around 2pm, some 7cm to 10cm of fresh snow had fallen, temperature now -1C. Next tracksetting should yield some really good skiing.
