Discussion:
Never saw my light touring skis until I turned around at the lodge, but they glided nicely under about 20 cms of snow.
Wish I had known there were about as many trees down across the trail, as I might have chosen a less interesting trail... and then I met the culprit himself as I descended late in the day... Mr. Democracy, retracing his route from weeks ago!
Wondering how far he'll get tonight?
ps Banff Park is not the only area needing funding to remove trees
Sometimes, the last photo taken has to be the first photo shown!
Starting out along the beautiful skier tracked Healy Creek
Flood damage between these two bridges
Slow going with about 20 trees down
Arriving at Sundance Lodge
Quite comfortable, especially with a coal oil lamp for late visitors!
