We arrived at the Spray River trailhead around 11am at -17C. The Parks truck was parked there. Had an enjoyable ski on fresh tracks down to the Spray River bridge. Glad that the trees provide good shelter from the cold wind. We decided to continue on the Spray River East Trail which was just rolled, and further up we encountered a shallow track; We returned on the Old Quarry walking trail along the river and crossed the bridge. The trail had good snow coverage and not too many foot prints. A good Christmas Eve ski on a cold and blustery day.
