Discussion:
Excellent conditions with cold snow and good tracks. Grooming on this trail has been very sketchy(sometimes non-existent) over the past three years so I was thrilled to have good tracksetting for 98% of the distance to the warden's cabin at 10.6K. The steep downhills on the return were safe and controllable.
There has been 1 cm of fresh snow since the Jan 20 tracksetting but it's well skied-in and the tracks were fast. Air temperature was -3 at the trailhead and the snow was -5. I had excellent grip with VR45(-2/-8).
The trail had some tree debris on the first 3K, but was clean thereafter.
From the turn-off to Shadow Lake at 10.3K, there is a skier-set track to the warden's cabin which is somewhat precarious. The snow is very deep and the tracks were collapsing frequently. Thankfully it was only a further 250 metres.
Redearth Creek is single trackset.
I met Susan as she was returning to the trailhead.
Nice views from the avalanche path.

Sounds like a great trip Bob.
Blue sky!
That's what I was looking for at PLPP.
