Looks like you hit a good day on Observation Peak. I'm surprised it wasn't wind affected. Parking on the highway is a bit tight this year don't you think?

We were pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Above treeline it was a mixed bag of scoured off rock, wind crust, and areas of still soft wind-deposited snow. Since we both possess a keen eye for surface texture and terrain features a nice zone of the aforementioned BTP was found to lap.

Lower down the supportive base with a foot of soft snow on top made the ski out through the trees a real hoot. Even when it got tight there was mucho occasion to dump speed and maintain flow.

And yeah, the road! It was basically packed snow and ice with encroaching +4ft berms on both sides. We were a bit nervous about parking along the side but vis was good and several others were doing it at various points along the way so we figured other motorists expect as much. Getting geared up with F350s bookin' it past was interesting....must be a main corridor to the sledneck hicklands in BC.

Looking into some signage to put out for next time.
