Skied CNC this AM
Racers are all in Red Deer so place was reasonably quiet. Skied out Bow back via Silvertip and Banff trail. Great day to ski!
eSkin skis worked great. However some trails were been groomed but the TS is days old. This makes for very hard slippy tracks.
If I was waxing today I'd wax up at least 1-2 waxes warmer. Problem is with the pine needles in the track, warmer wax attracts those suckers.
The best alternative would be Dreaded Klister covered with the wax of the day or Rex Powergrip would work as well. These two choices are mostly beyond the ken of most skiers. When you go just be aware of the potential PITA factor. If classic, ski the freshly TS trails
When looking at Nordic Pulse, Grooming on a trail is listed first in bold then under it in smaller font and fainter is when it was trackset.
Case in point today lots of grooming. Trail listing ranged from groomed and TS today to groomed and TS yesterday to Jan 21.
