Discussion:
We travelled around the Pipestone loop counterclockwise and took Hector for the last part. The copious needles in the tracks weren't a big problem especially because they didn't get glued to the bases of our waxless skis. A number of snow bombs came down around us but fortunately they didn't make any direct hits. It was around or slightly above zero and our fish scale skis worked well - fast on the flat and downhill and easy to climb by stepping out of the track. A great day of skiing made even better by having a good chat with Chuck and Jeannette.

No snow bombs or needles on the Pipestone River!
Nice to meet Doug & Christine, and learn how they like the Search feature on Skier Roger's website.
