Bound and determined to venture out to EAST Elk Meadows

Discussion:

Boulton Parking was 0 C at 9:30 and +4 at 3pm. Whiskey Jack and Tyrwhitt were in very good shape. Got to the East Elk Meadows Trail around noon and happy to see it had been travelled on recently. Took some time on fish scales to get to the couch because sun was causing clumping. This is a more difficult ski than West Elk Meadows and I did not attempt the traverse between the two, as I was by myself. Superb Couch location and easier to ski on my return as sun went under the clouds. Met Ma Sid as I was coming out and it was super seeing him again in that stunning environment. Reinforced his fresh AT tracks thru Patterson Meadows. Would give Elk Pass and Fox Creek a miss until more snow comes. I felt like I alternated skiing on one foot all the way thru Fox Creek, dodging whatever. Moraine is holding up well. Thanks again Carl for reporting my glasses.

Thanks for refreshing the trail (and to MaSid) as well. I was thinking of heading in there tomorrow.
