Hi Ulrike,
The answer is "Ski with Alaric"... he dug out almost every rock that would have thrown me out, especially on those critical bends down the Screamer. Now, all you have to do is watch out for dark spots, and turn on a dime with your metal edges in time!
Ski Safe.

Hi Chuck: How do you avoid the rocks on the fast descent? bring metal edged or rocks skis or wait for another snowfall?

Discussion:
With temperatures ranging from -7 to -2, it was nice to get back to my VR40 kick wax.
Only saw one other couple out all day. Just as well, as you would not want to meet much on-coming traffic, either going up or down on this steep trail.
Glad to enjoy this location with cold snow early in the season.
Don't forget to bring an extra layer and warm gloves for the descent... it is fast!
Beautiful trackset up high
Lots of rocks lower down
Nicely groomed in the middle
This Spruce Grouse allowed us to pass without incident
This Moose kindly avoided the nice tracksetting
Finally, the reward.
