Skogan Area: After work hill climb

Headed after work this afternoon for a somewhat short run. Started at Nakiska parking lot. Hovering around zero degrees when I started, cooler up top. Used my waxless skies for the big climb. Grooming took place yesterday from what I read. There was little to no evidence of any other skiers on the freshly groomed trails past the lower portions.

Due to after noon winds, lower portion of Skogan from Nakiska area has a fresh sprinkling needles and various twigs. Snow was fairly slow. Lots of coverage but not very deep yet.

Snow gets deeper, faster, and better quality as I climbed. Approaching perfect conditions up top.

A bit of hard work to go up, but so much fun coming down.

Total distance: 11.00 Km

I like to think this was an old moon shining operation at Sunburst view point.
