Thank you, Bob for your interesting review of the Emerald Lake area. I have included some maps for quick reference. The trail names are not updated yet.

Discussion:

I noticed that some of the trails at Emerald Lake have been trackset, and a couple of the trail names have been changed. I've captioned each photo with the previous name and the new name(where it is applicable).

Tracksetting has occurred on the following trails:
Alluvial Fan
Horse trail(now "Classic Emerald")
Access to Horse Trail(now "Emerald Lake Crossing")

The trail now known as "Emerald Lake Crossing" starts at Emerald Sports(the rental shop) and is trackset on the lake for 500 metres. At the end, it climbs a few metres on land to join "Classic Emerald." This is the route to the Alluvial Fan.

If I've got any of this wrong, I stand to be corrected.

All the photos are from previous years.

The Alluvial Fan stays the same

Horse trail, now "Classic Emerald"

Access to the Horse Trail is now "Emerald Lake Crossing"

Access to the Horse Trail is now "Emerald Lake Crossing"

I don't know if the Tree Hugger will even be trackset this winter.

This trail at Emerald lake is known as the "Road to Wedded Bliss." When I took this picture in 2014, I commented "This couple wasted their day getting married when they could have been enjoying the best ski conditions of the year."
