Hi Eyesopen

The report that you refer to goes on to say: “ Thin snow cover over uneven surface. More snow is needed to cover rocks, roots and creeks; Icy sections.”

Note the last report was generated Feb 18th, prior to a recent snowfall seen in many areas.

Rhonda, I think it just refers to those #1, #2, #3 trails right at Castle Junction. They are very busy with burning maintenance in Protection area and one skis right by crews when on Baker Creek to Castle L/O trail. Chuck might have more info, but my best guess. Also, they are so rarely skied, and more heavily walked. Groomers are a precious commodity these days.

Discussion:

Does anyone have any intel on what it means on the Parks Canada Trail Conditions site where it says "Trail Maintenance Suspended" for the Castle Junction Trails?
Is it temporarily suspended?

Thanks,
Rhonda
