Thanks, Helen. Yeah it's the "Gruyere" hat from a World Cup event at CNC. I doubt that Parks will be clearing all those fallen trees on the Paradise Trail soon. It's such a pretty destination.

Great photo of you Ulrike crawling under the big log. If I recall, that hat you are wearing is about Swiss cheese. You should send them the photo, with the caption, " I'd crawl on my knees in deep snow for some of that cheese. " Emmenthal perhaps?

Discussion:

Tons of snow and tree obstacles on the trail to Paradise Valley. You can practise your limbo over and under logs.The skier track ended 500m before the first bridge. Trail breaking was easy following Paradise Creek with 5cm of new snow on top of an old track and a good base. Skins were helpful on the climb to Lake Annette, with some wind slab and snow drifts, and an entertaining descent down the creek drainage. Totally snowy fun ski.
