GASP. Hikers on my hard worked ski trail. How dare they! Do they not know back country etiquette? May there boots fill with faceted snow and sharp pine needles.

Sundance Lodge from Healy Creek parking

Discussion:

This trip is 11.5 km one way from the parking lot (signage indicates about 2 km less). Conditions today were very fast with temperatures just below freezing. I was glad that I use metal edged skis. It would have been crash and burn on the descent with regular skis. The up track up Brewster Creek is still reasonable although it is a bit glazed in places. Off the track the surface is a bit chunky and gouged in places. I did not venture beyond the lodge on Mr. Democracy's track. Walkers from the lodge have gone up that way but I do not know how far.
