Tried to talk my wife into doing Telephone Loop today but no deal. Instead we skied Moose Loop and noted that the west end of Telephone Loop was roller packed, as I expected. Trail conditions are excellent throughout WBC but warm temperatures are coming soon.

Heard from one of the trail crew this afternoon: "Telephone has been groomed". Maybe you missed this quote from an earlier report:

<B>"This from Groomer David at BCT:
Our approach to Telephone has changed.
Because Tele is multi-use, the east in particular receives heavy traffic from walkers, snowshoers and bikers - all with a significant negative impact on ski grooming.
With the development of the WBC trail plan 2.0, we are looking at making Telephone a backcountry ski route with minimal or possibly no grooming.
For this year, we have been trialing this approach. We have been roller packing the larger snowfalls but haven't been setting track. The idea is that Telephone might be a destination for experienced skiers interested in a longer ski on touring or light AT gear.
Any suggestions on Telephone Loop are very welcome! "</B>

I'm fine with treating it as more of a backcountry trail, but it would be nice to see the occasional groom between snowfalls to flatten out the surface to take better advantage of future snowfalls. This would benefit all user groups and make it safer for skiers.

I also noticed the groomer on Telephone Loop. It seems you can't tell from the Nordic Pulse website if they're just roller packing or tracksetting. I assume it's just roller packing.

Me, virtually from home

Can anyone confirm if it's trackset as well as groomed?
