Discussion:

We had a late morning start from the Elk Pass Parking lot and saw from the signage that our plan to take Elk Pass to Blueberry Hill had to change. Elk Pass was closed from the Hydroline turn off to Patterson due to avalanche conditions. So we skied up the lower part of Elk, then up Hydroline and down Patterson and on to Blueberry Hill. I was so happy with my skin skis today! They were quite a bit faster than Roger's waxed (and a nice boost to my confidence!) -kept me smiling, despite the heel blisters forming on the way up. It was my first time on Blueberry Hill and worth the effort- the view of mountains and Kananaskis Lakes at the trail's end was amazing!!! Roger tried several waxes, with less than stellar results. We took the same route back and had some really slow downhills, with the above 0 temps.
