My new mantra is "Follow the grooming". I saw Elk Pass, Hydroline, Tyrwhitt, and Lookout were all groomed last night, so we headed that way. I think we had three seasons in about 3 hrs - Sunny, with temps floating above freezing, snow squalls, and 80 km/hr winds. And then the cycle repeated.

Grooming was great - no problems climbing or descending the hills. Ended up just doing Elk Pass, up the Hydroline hill to the pass, and then back again. The Elk Pass trail itself, from the Hydroline junction to the pass is ungroomed (hopefully it gets a bit of love tonight) and probably the worst catch and release I've had in a long time.

On Hydroline, fresh snow blown in by the winds proved to be sticky, so staying on the corduroy was the way to go. All in all, a nice afternoon, and a nice bonus to be skiing on good grooming into April. Not sure what Hydroline will be like after the snow and winds.
