Out and back: Whiskey Jack - Lookout (North)

Less than a third of the new snow in my Silver Springs back yard, but a much better base!
Starting from Boulton Creek at 10 am, snow temp about -2C, my purple wax worked well for a while, going up Whiskey Jack and the start of Lookout. Alas the sun was rather warm, and soon my skis were picking up tons of heavy, sticky snow. It looked like a couple of skiers had been that way yesterday, and from their tracks it looked like it was fairly warm then too.
There were some interesting paw prints on the trails, not very big, some sort of cat perhaps?
The trip down was pretty good, fast where steep and rather tame otherwise, getting a bit grabby near the bottom. I was completely alone most of the day, but as I was descending a rather steep hill on Whiskey Jack (of course), I encountered a couple going up, and ended up on my tush..... "only my pride"
"That" campground road still had enough snow to ski across, and if it gets cold tonight conditions should still be pretty good tomorrow.
