Quick AM trip up to Mt Shark -9C at 9:00 -6C by 12;00 skin skis.
Not much traffic on the trails
They are packed with ruts. A pita to ski but good coverage. Wish parks could have use a simple drag to work the trails as well as snow machines.
Arrived to find signs showing two lost Samoyeds from yesterday. They had been out overnight. Owner was looking for them out on the trails. A CO was on a snow machine as well.
They had gotten away with leashes on from the parking lot. Found around 11:00 this AM out on the old 15k now Hercules trail with one dog ‘s leash hung up. Whew no doubt a stressful night for the owner.
Smith Dorian from Canmore is washboarded but not really bad.
