We thought we'd take a tour up Healy Pass today as previous reports indicated it was pretty good, thanks for that. It was cloudy, calm and just below zero most of the day, but once we arrived at the meadow below the pass, the wind kicked up and a few snow flurries made things a bit less comfortable. The trail in is in good shape, skier packed with no rocks or dirt showing. It was a fast exit, about an hour with plenty of stops to rest the quads. It looked like some skiers had headed up Simpson Pass as indicated by a fairly good packed trail. A very good early season warm up.
