Today, we set out on a quest for the elusive snowfa, crafted by MaSid. Many thanks for all your hard work, MaSid.

Elk Pass has some great snow right now. We were awestruck by the breathtaking beauty of our surroundings. Despite the cool temperature of -13 degrees and the blustering winds, we found the snow couch to be a welcome refuge.

At Blueberry junction, we were delighted to encounter the charming Shabu and Shaida, along with their friends and long time Rocky Mountain Ramblers, Darlene and her friend (whose name escapes me at the moment). It was a lovely experience, made all the more special by the fact that Shabu is blind and relies on his adventurous wife, Shaida, as his guide. Their story is truly inspiring, and I encourage you to learn more by following the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IVYRrjFCmI

Our return took us through Hydroline, Patterson and Fox Creek. Fox Creek was somewhat icy, but the tracks are solid and we found it safe.

Blue wax and Jolynn’s skin ski’s worked well for us today, although one skier we met did have some troubles getting her blue wax to grip properly.
