Telephone loop (CCW) and a bit of home road on LT gear. Good grip with the fishscales given the residual moisture at the base of the snow. Pleasant cruising in 2” of soft dry powder over a thin hard base in the morning on the east side. But deceiving. A few rocks lurking on a south facing downhill on the east side. Improved base on the north side and good fast cruising in yesterdays bike tracks. 2’ of total snow on home road. Only went to the top of the first hill, about 2k? By the time i got back to telephone, one pass with a roller packer had occurred. Shortly thereafter a second snowmobile came by with another wider pass, which did not improve on the single pass. Thin where the steering ski plates travelled, pretty much to ground. Ok if you stayed out of it. Not recommended for skinny skis at this point.
