Claire and I had a relaxing ski on Great Divide this afternoon, starting from the Lake Louise end. Around 0 degrees C at the start and maybe a few degrees warmer at the end. Grooming was underway, but even the ungroomed inbound lane was perfect. It seemed that they weren’t going to get the inbound lane done today, so maybe first thing tomorrow. The rest was done, so it is ready for great skate skiing right now. The snow was still cold and our skin skis worked perfectly. Like everywhere right now, the tracks were faster than average and quite heavenly. It was great to talk to a couple from Red Deer, and one of them was enjoying her first ever cross country ski enormously. Another convert!
