It was not surprising that the Banff Park trail groomer would trackset this final section of the Cascade Valley today. He has done everything else in the area in the last five days, and put Banff back on the ski destination map... Thanks Don!
Interesting how the orientation of the Cascade Valley protects it from prevailing winds... There was absolutely no wind on the trails again today, even though there were drifts on the access road. Okay, I did feel some wind as I descended into the meadow on my return... but I think that was from my own speed!
It was great to meet so many new and old friends out there, enjoying the excellent conditions.
