We parked up by Lake Louise (10am; -11C) and headed down Tramline. Tracks here were reasonable, though definitely impacted by all the walkers. Reaching MLR, we headed up. Tracks here were very good, with the morning frost crystals giving some extra grip. A few footprints were in the tracks until we reached the Fairview junction, but from there to the turnaround point the tracks were excellent. Lunch in the sunshine before heading back. The return was a bit slow, so we could comfortably stay in the tracks on even the steepest hills. A couple of sunny spots near Paradise Creek showed minor signs of icing - no problem. A mix of wax, fish scales, and skin skis today, with everything working well. +1C back at the parking lot (2pm). A very enjoyable ski.
