Discussion:

I skied from the 1A parking lot a little after 9am. As Helen noted, the lot was almost full at this time. Slow going on the skier-set track in yesterday's fresh snow on the way down. Beyond the arch, I rebroke trail in a snowed-in skier track all the way to the O'Hara end. The Academy team followed me, so the track was well-skied on return. Fresh tracksetting greeted me at the arch and it was a lovely ski back up to the parking lot. Next I skied Tramline. First up to the lake, then down to the village. Other than three large rocks poking through the snow just above the final corner before the river, the trail was in great shape. Groomed but not trackset. I kept following the grooming onto the Bow River trail and then the Townsite trail. The entire Bow River loop was not groomed, just the first section to Townsite. Good coverage except two small spots that are too sheltered by trees. I skied to the end of Townsite and turned around. This trail was thin and once it gets walked on, I wouldn't want to ski it with nice skis! On the way back up Tramline, the groomers passed me and left fresh tracksetting in their wake. A great day out!
