We brought my hiking and XC ski gear to WBC not knowing what to expect but after speaking with the helpful ladies at the information hut, I was pleasantly surprised with hardly any people and even fewer skiers with fresh snow over some select groomed trails. No track setting yet and only certain trails cleared and groomed but it won't be long before it's all open but maybe need more snow to track set. Skied with my Solomon RC Skin skies which didn't grip great and were a bit slow but good exercise. Skied West Crystal, Loggers, East Crystal, West Mountain and Mountain Road to the connector for 16km. They were clearing Iron Springs and Moose's Loop today. Only trail with lots of Walker pot holes was Mountain Road. Definitely worth getting out albeit was a bit cold.
