Encouraged by Chuck's report from yesterday, we skied Spray West today. Started at 10am to -11C. As usual, the first 500m was well used by walkers, though they mostly stayed out of the tracks. After that, conditions got generally better to the east/west junction, though some sections were a bit icy, and the steeper downhills required caution. We skied about 4km beyond that junction, almost to the Spray River bridge. This section was very pleasant - mostly good tracks and a few glazed sections which made for fast glide. We had to re-wax a couple of times. Generally a very satisfying day. Another 10cm of snow will make for really good conditions. -7C to finish.
