I took on the Moraine Lake Road today, just before a scheduled Saturday snow dump.

I arrived at around 10:00 am and was about the 9th car in the parking lot. It was a was cool but pleasant -12 degrees. Not much wind at all.

I had lent my classic skis to my son for the day which gave me an opportunity to work on my skate skiing technique. There are two main components of any good skate skier: technique and endurance. I'm about 70% on the first former, the later appears to be hindered due to a nasty chocolate addition 😊. Lots of room to improve…

I had the great pleasure of meeting Chuck and Jeannette today. They're a lovely couple.

Later, I tested out the Lake Louise Loop at the Chateau. I took the shore route with my skate skis & noticed the lake trail is skier tracked.
