just me

I skied up the fire road and then beyond for nearly a km to the Stoney Creek back country camp ground

Discussion:

There was about 5 cm of snow on top of yesterday's ski tracks. I was surprised by how few people were out. One skier ahead of me made it 12 km out and then turned back. I continued on and reset the trail to the end of grooming and then on to Stoney Creek. I did not visit the ranger cabin deciding that I did not want to go around a bunch of fallen trees. Only one other person made it to the end of grooming.

Snow conditions are quite good. The trail has not been groomed for several days so the tracks are a bit wobbly particularly the first 6 km to the bridge due to more traffic to that point. Travel was a slow on the whole route.
