Discussion:

The Redearth Creek parking lot was a busy place on our arrival.
A large group of Esso/Shell retirees greeted us but left ahead of us not to be seen again as their destination was Shadow Lake Lodge. We skied to the Warden's cabin and, after lunch, returned on trail conditions matching those reported in Bob Truman's Monday trip report. Minor ruts left by the grooming machine were well skied over on the down hill parts. Temperature to start was -11C at 10:00AM and -3C at 3:00 PM. We were all on waxable skis and VR40 and 45 worked well all day. Lower hills are getting scraped to an icy base. The chute down to the parking lot was very manageable with no evident ice under the soft snow. There is a lot of debris on the trail so a new covering of snow will be welcomed.
A beautiful sunny day!
