Quite a pleasant day on Cascade today. Started out at 9:30am at -10C. Track to the top of the hill at 2.7k was decent though erratic in places. After that it was good to the Cascade River bridge. From the bridge to the cabin, it was very good (with one short icy-ish hill), though often filled with pine and spruce needles. After a pleasant lunch at the cabin, we encountered a large number of skiers on our return, with the tracks holding up quite well. We had to dodge a few beginners as we skied down the big hill, which just added to the excitement of the day. Finished at 2:30pm to -3C. Overall, tracks were firm and fast.
