Very enjoyable skiing on a sunny, but cold afternoon. My route took in East Crystal-Iron Springs and Creek-Elbow-Loggers-West Crystal. Conditions were very good overall after the recent grooming of about 6-7 cm of light new snow. Crisp corduroy that was sometimes quite firm, and solid tracksetting that was a bit bumpy and icy in spots. Hills were nicely fast, smooth and very edgeable for easy control. Pay attention at junctions as some of the transitions were rough and uneven, especially at Iron Springs-Iron Creek which is a bit nasty if approaching quickly from the north. Wax of the day? With a high of -17, Swix VR 30 worked very well.
